The inevitability of the development of drone defense and countermeasure equipment
November 3, 2025
In recent years, there have been more and more incidents of drones invading airspace and spies using drones to photograph our military bases. Combined with the Russian-Ukrainian war drones, we are reminded that the development of drones is a double-edged sword. We also need a solid spear to defend against this sharp sword. Whether it is alarmist or exaggerated, it is always right to nip it in the bud. According to the regulations on the management of drones, the equipment, installation, use and authorization management of unmanned aerial vehicle countermeasures shall be formulated by the industrial and information technology, public security, national security, and market supervision and management departments of the State Council in conjunction with relevant departments of the State Council and relevant military agencies. No unit or individual may illegally own or use unmanned aerial vehicle countermeasures.

Each technical means of drone detection and countermeasures has its own uniqueness, and the countermeasures also need to be formulated according to the application scenario. For example, the construction of a chemical plant countermeasure system needs to be based on deception. Invading the positioning system of the drone induces the aircraft to land in a safe area. The rough use of countermeasures shields or high-power shields can easily cause safety problems. For example, the public security can use a radio countermeasure system, fix the equipment at a certain commanding height, use spectrum equipment to detect the electromagnetic environment in advance, find a commanding height with less electromagnetic interference, so that drones can be detected and countered more accurately, or the countermeasure system can be fixed and modified on the vehicle. The system needs to be on duty 24 hours a day, and a black and white list of drones can be set. The black and white list needs to be connected with the data of air traffic control to automatically identify normal drones that have reported routes.
Today, with the rapid development of drones, drone management methods also need to be diversified. While continuously strengthening the low-altitude economy, safety issues must be put first. Spears and shields have never been contradictory. Only when you have sharp spears and solid shields can you achieve sustainable development.
